Fees & Insurance

Investment in Therapy

Therapy is an investment in your mental health, well-being, and quality of life. My practice is intentionally kept small so I can provide individualized, evidence-based care and maintain a high level of responsiveness between sessions when clinically appropriate.

Session Fees

Initial Evaluation (90 minutes)
$350

A comprehensive assessment of your concerns, treatment goals, and history, followed by collaborative treatment planning.

Individual Psychotherapy (45–50 minutes)
$300

Ongoing evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Extended Psychotherapy Session (75–90 minutes)
$375

Longer sessions may be recommended for Exposure and Response Prevention (EX/RP), intensive treatment, or when clinically appropriate.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not participate directly with insurance plans.

Many clients with out-of-network mental health benefits are able to receive partial reimbursement for psychotherapy services after submitting a superbill to their insurance company.

The amount reimbursed depends on your specific insurance plan, deductible, and out-of-network coverage. While reimbursement varies, many clients receive between 50% and 80% of the allowed amount after meeting any applicable deductible. Some plans reimburse less, and others may not offer out-of-network benefits.

I provide a monthly superbill that includes the information your insurance company typically requires for reimbursement.

Because every plan is different, I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier before beginning therapy to better understand your benefits.

Questions you may wish to ask your insurance company include:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?

  • Is there an annual deductible?

  • How many sessions are covered?

  • Do I need prior authorization?

Reduced-Fee Appointments

I believe that access to high-quality mental health care is important.

A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are reserved for individuals experiencing financial hardship. These appointments are offered based on availability and are intended to increase access while allowing me to maintain a sustainable private practice.

If cost is a significant barrier, you're welcome to inquire about current availability during your consultation.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of treatment. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before services begin.
