Dr. Marianna Graziosi, licensed clinical psychologist and OCD specialist

I'm Dr. Marianna Graziosi, a licensed clinical psychologist, OCD specialist and founder of Re-Entry Psychology.

Why "Re-Entry"?

The name Re-Entry Psychology was inspired in part by the concept of re-entry in spaceflight.

For astronauts, re-entry is not simply a return home. It is a complex transition between environments that requires adjustment, navigation, and care. After spending time in the extraordinary conditions of space, returning to Earth means adapting to a world that is familiar, but no longer experienced in quite the same way.

Psychological re-entry can feel remarkably similar. Whether you've been living under the grip of OCD and perfectionism, or navigating the aftermath of a life-changing experience, there often comes a moment when the question is no longer, "How do I survive this?"

Instead, it becomes: "How do I live now?"

Re-entry is not about returning to who you were before.

It’s about learning how to move forward with greater flexibility, purpose, and connection to what matters most.

My Background

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University and completed advanced clinical training at Northwell Health's Zucker Hillside Hospital, including specialized training at Northwell’s OCD Center, where I worked with adults receiving evidence-based treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD).

My clinical work has included hospitals, outpatient settings, and academic medicine, giving me experience treating individuals with a wide range of psychological concerns while maintaining a particular focus on OCD, anxiety, and adjustment following life-altering experiences.

In addition to my clinical work, I have remained actively involved in research examining psychological flexibility, cancer survivorship, awe, self-transcendent experiences, and the psychological effects of psychedelic substances.

I have collaborated with researchers affiliated with the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, contributing to studies exploring how transformative experiences influence well-being.

Across both my research and clinical work, I am continually drawn to the same question:

How do people build meaningful lives after experiences that fundamentally change them?
